ADHD: Low self-esteem, shame, self-blame, depression and anxiety Dr. Jan Willer, PhD will be our guest speaker Women and girls are underdiagnosed with ADHD. Low self-esteem, shame, self-blame, anxiety and depression are more common in women with ADHD than in the general population; this is true for men as well, but not to the same degree. Also women with ADHD tend to feel very ashamed of their life challenges with ADHD, and try to hide how hard they are working to keep up with everyone else.
